He has been living in Poland for 6 years. He came from Ukraine "in search of bread" and has been running a company for six months. On a daily basis, Volodymyr Zahorodnii is a mechanic. - In the beginning, when I arrived, it was obviously the hardest to get along in Polish. This barrier was a big problem, but I managed to overcome it over time - says Zahorodnii.
In overcoming the linguistic barrier helped, among others, the Association Integration Europe-East, which in the building at Sienkiewicza 78A street in Kielce solves every problem faced by foreigners.
- There are really different situations. Most often it is the legalization of stay. People who come to us can count on help in completing the documents needed to obtain a residence card. In fact, this Information Point is the first place that foreigners can visit as soon as they reach Kielce, when they do not know the language yet - explains Olesia Kubaichuk, translator-consultant at the Information Point.
However, help for visitors is much bigger. Thanks to the INTEURO.INFO program, foreigners can learn Polish, sign up for integration courses or entrepreneurship workshops.
- You can take advantage of many possibilities. Today I came to sign up for a Polish language course because I want to continue my education. Sometimes it is difficult for a person to fill in some applications, it is stressful. You can come here and get support with everything - says Anastasiia Zahurska, who has been studying in Poland for four years.
All services are provided free of charge. The project is co-financed by the National Program of Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund "Safe Harbor".
- Every foreigner will find help here. We help not only with administrative matters, but also with ordinary problems of everyday life. People who have a job come and are looking for a flat. Others are looking for a school for their child. A lot of people want to find a new job. We advise what to do and where to go in a given situation - summarizes the president of the Association Integration Europe-East, Krzysztof Kalita.
Foreigners can also take advantage of free consultations with a legal advisor and psychologist.
The Information Point invites also the entrepreneurs from Świętokrzyskie Province who employ or plan to hire foreigners.
